First-Year Composition Program

This program includes Composition I and II, and is part of the core requirements for most majors offered at Kennesaw State University.

Mission Statement

The First-Year Composition Program at Kennesaw State University prepares students to compose in multiple contexts and to navigate complexity and diversity, both within and beyond the academy. We engage students through pedagogies that foster critical reading and thinking, composing processes, effective communication, rhetorical agility, and ethical inquiry.
